Join WiRED International in Two Observances This Week

Where would global health care be without nurses? May 6–12 is National Nurses Week, which the American Nurses Association has designated as the “Year of the Healthy Nurse.” WiRED International offers many medical and health modules written especially for nurses in its Health Learning Center, such as an extensive training course in the Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Rheumatic Heart Disease.

WiRED relies on nurses and other healthcare professionals to educate underserved communities on disease and wellness. Nurses will play a key role in using WiRED’s upcoming modules series on maternal and child health.

May 6–12 is also National Pet Week, a chance for people to count the many ways pets enrich their lives. This week is a reminder to be kind to animals, to think about endangered species and habitats which are disappearing because of climate change, and to appreciate how pets keep us healthy and happy.
