This course in the Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Rheumatic Heart Disease is a collaboration among pediatric medical specialists and WiRED International. The purpose of the project is to enable nurses and other medical professionals to understand the development and pathophysiology of rheumatic heart disease and to learn how to acquire and interpret echocardiograms in the diagnosis of the condition.
We suggest that medical professionals taking this course proceed through the modules in sequence, as the information is cumulative. At the end of every module is a brief quiz to help you gauge your understanding of the material.
